General Giveaway Rules

These are the rules for all giveaways which are done directly by me/XNL Future Technologies, this page does not cover possible giveaways or promotions from partners and/or sponsors. Please check their page(s) for relevant information if you are looking those. These rules do however apply to all our own giveaways unless explicitly stated otherwise (at the specific giveaway). Please read them carefully before entering.

1. Eligibility

• You must be at least 18 years old to enter. This ensures compliance with regulations across all regions.
• Unless otherwise stated, giveaways are open world wide, except for the regions listed in the ‘Excluded Regions‘ section bellow
• Family members, close friends, and associates of XNL Future Technologies, including content partners, suppliers, or other affiliated entities, are not eligible to participate.
• My giveaways are always free to enter (no entry fee required!). I do of course have to know that you want to enter it😉 so It might be required that you for example comment on a video that you are interested in it, or that you register for the giveaway on this page.
• I don’t do stuff like you need to follow, subscribe, like, re-post ……. bla bla bla for my giveaways. Obviously those things will be highly appreciated and will help me grow the channels and content, but I do not want you to do that just for giveaways, but because you like and/or want to support the content.

2. Shipping

• In most cases, we will cover shipping costs. Rare exceptions may occur for unusually large, heavy, or special items. Any such exceptions will be clearly stated in the giveaway details.
• Each giveaway will have a specific shipping cost limit. If shipping to your region exceeds this limit, you will not be eligible to participate. These Shipping limits and guidelines are listed at the giveaway. Bellow you will find more information on how to check if your region is eligible.
• We are not responsible for items lost or damaged in transit, as we have no control over postal services. Unfortunately, replacement items will not be provided. Please also note that we do not have any control over shipping time.

3. Customs and Duties

• Participants are responsible for any customs duties or taxes applicable in their country. We will of course label/document giveaways as “gifts” and declare the correct value to minimize costs (this does however also means that we won’t undervalue ‘expensive items’!), but we will not pay or refund customs fees or any other (local) taxes which might be applied. The value (which will be listed on the package) will be specified in the giveaway description. Please also do realize that if your country has (temporary) increased import fees, taxes or things like that, that these will be your responsibility if you would get billed for them.

4. Batteries

• We do not internationally ship batteries. Period. If batteries are required, they will be removed unless they are internal to the product. Additional (and/or regional) limitations might apply for items which have internal batteries. Battery details will be specified in the giveaway description.

5. Winner Selection and Notification

• Winners will be chosen at the end of the giveaway on the platform(s) specified at the giveaway. You will then receive an email or direct/private message on the platform itself.
• Winner selection is completely random, and will be done either automated (if the giveaway is only held on this page), or by an automated random picker we’ve written if the giveaway is held on an external platform (like YouTube for example).
• If you win, you will have to respond within 7 days of being notified. Failure to respond or declining the prize will result in forfeiture, and a new winner will be selected, and (re-)claiming the price/item(s) will then unfortunately impossible.
• Winners’ platform usernames will be listed on our Giveaway History page, along with what the giveaway was. And if you have for example made an Instagram/X/YouTube post about it, we might link to your post. We do these listings to be fully open and transparent to our community. If you are selected as giveaway winner on YouTube, we will list your YouTube usernameon the Giveaway History Page. If you don’t want to be listed, then please don’t enter the giveaway! By entering the giveaway you agree with me putting your (public) username on the Giveaway History page.
• (Possible) offensive usernames, political usernames, sexual suggestive usernames, provocative usernames or usernames which for example are intentionally setup with the sole purpose of ‘brand-exposure’, marketing/promotion etc (and thus is not part of your content platform) will be exempt from partitioning and thus appearing on our website(s).

6. Liability Disclaimer & No Warranties or Guarantees

• Giveaways are provided “as-is” with no warranties, express or implied. This basically means:
  • Items are considered novelty gifts and may not be suitable for specific purposes.
  • We are not liable for any dissatisfaction (e.g., color, size, or functionality) or for any damages caused by using (or the inability to use) the item.
  • We don’t accept any “refund” or “monetary compensation” requests if for example the item(s) are not to your liking etc.
• By entering, you agree to accept full responsibility for using giveaway items, including intended and unintended use. To the extent permitted by law, XNL Future Technologies is not liable for you using (or the inability to use) the item in any way. This includes (but is not limited to):
  • Personal injury, death(s) or property damage.
  • Financial losses, including for example (but not limited to): repair costs or damages caused by the item, by you using the item or not being able to use the item.
  • Extraordinary consequences such as nuclear wars, your pets and/or family member(s) being sucked into black holes, or interdimensional rifts caused by using the giveaway item. (We’re kidding on this one……. mostly.)

7. Other Terms

• We reserve the right to modify or cancel giveaways due to unforeseen circumstances, including natural disasters, regulatory changes, or other events beyond our control.
• Giveaways are void where prohibited or restricted by law. Local laws take precedence over these terms.

9. Privacy

We will only use your personal information (e.g., address) to ship the giveaway item. Once shipped, your information will be removed from our system(s). However, please note that shipping carriers (e.g., postal services) may retain shipping data as part of their standard practices, which is beyond our control. 10. Excluded Regions

Unfortunately I have to exclude certain regions from being able to enter our giveaways. This is nothing personal to either you, your country, your region and neither is it anything political (on my/our end!). Some of the reasons why I have to exclude certain regions are listed bellow:

• Strict regulations: Some regions have complex (registration) rules or even mandatory (local) translation requirements for giveaways.
• High customs fees or unpredictable clearance: In some places, customs fees can be unreasonably high, packages get confiscated or returned for no clear reason.
• Unreliable postal services: Items might be delayed, lost, or even returned without any explanation.
• Sanctions and embargoes: These are political issues completely out of my control and can cause serious shipping problems.

Because of one or more of the reasons listed above, the following regions are excluded from participation:
Afghanistan, Argentina, Belarus, Brazil, Chile, Haiti, India, Iran, Italy, Mexico, North Korea, Quebec (Canada), Russia, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, Turkey, Venezuela, Yemen

I really don’t like having to do this, but these restrictions and challenges are beyond my control. I truly hope that conditions and regulations improve in the future so that I can include these regions too. 😊

12. Shipping Costs Limitation

Each giveaway will have a preset shipping costs limitation (if we pay for the shipping costs that is). You can check the shipping costs from our country to yours using this page: PostNL International Shipping Costs
“Page Manual”:
1: On the top right of the page (on desktop computers) you can choose your language (NL, EN and FR)
2: Click On Choose a different country and select your country
3: Check the price of the type of parcel which is indicated at the giveaway (Letter or Postcard, Letterbox Parcel, Small parcel or Medium parcel)

Compare the shipping costs with the Shipping costs limit for the giveaway. If they’re bellow or match the limit, you can enter the giveaway😊. However, If you for example happen to live on Mars🤷🏽‍♀️ and shipping costs are above the giveaways shipping cost limit, then unfortunately you won’t be eligible to enter this giveaway.

Please note that we not only set these limits to save on costs, but we also set certain limits because it could for example be that a giveaway item might only be worth $5, but the shipping could be $30 to your region. That would obviously make no sense at all in shipping it then 😉.

13. Giveaways held on other platforms (like YouTube for example)

The giveaways organized by me/XNL Future Technologies on external platforms, such as YouTube, are not sponsored, endorsed, or affiliated with YouTube in any way. YouTube has no involvement in the giveaway process. However, please note that any entries from the YouTube platform that do not comply with YouTube Community Guidelines will be disqualified from the giveaway(s).

How do I contact you If you have been selected as a giveaway winner on one of my other platforms (mainly YouTube though)?
To ensure that I actually have contact with the real winner (and for example not with someone trying to ‘steal your win’ by emailing me) I will do my best to double check it is actually the person/winner who had commented. For this I might do one or more of the following confirmation steps:
Option 1 Step A: I Will comment/reply to your comment and request you to send me an email through the website contact form.
Option 1 Step B: In the reply email you’ll get from me I will then ask you to place a certain random number as additional comment on your winning comment (considering you should be the only one being able to reply/comment with that same user name😉). After confirming it is really you/the winner, we can then start discussing shipment for example😊. Or I might ask you in the email to put that random number (for example something like: 2A54266D5) in your profile bio/description temporarily.

Option 2: IF you have an email address/contact email set in your YouTube bio, I will use that one. However most people who don’t upload but are “only” viewers on YouTube don’t have an email set up in their about page for their YouTube Account.

Option 3: If you have an X or Instagram account and it is for example linked in the about of your YouTube profile, I might try to contact you via there through private messages (using my X Account or Instagram Account). I would personally prefer the email route though, since that is easier for you to double check the sender domain (teamxnl.com).
