    Sophie The Pigeon Egg (and Nest) Ornament

    Sophie’s Ornament for this year (2025) is an Egg with Sophie coming/sticking out of it on the side.

    The Egg Ornament also comes with a printable nest, which you can use as a stand. Not only is this ornament perfect for in your Christmas tree, you can also use it as Easter decoration or even as a small ‘pigeon art trinket’ to put up for display the rest of the year 😊

    This ornament is intended to be hand painted for optimal results (wings, stripe underneath her eye, eyes and the beak).

    I decided to make a custom Christmas Ornament especially for Sophie’s (our pigeon) which included her (in 8-Bit style) and also includes (a part) of her favorite lullaby (Twinkle Twinkle Little Star) .

    Sophie’s Fallout Bed (A Fallout Themed Pigeon Bed)

    I basically just wanted a Fallout themed bed for our office pigeon Sophie The Pigeon.

    So that is exactly what I have done, I designed a bed to scale for her (almost 100% with TinkerCad) inspired by a bed from the Fallout New Vegas DLC Dead Money.

    Sophie’s Nuka Cola Vending Machine

    I needed a Nuka Cola Vending machine for our rescue pet pigeon Sophie The Pigeon.

    So what do you do then? Indeed: You design and build not just one, but two of them😂

    These are two 3D printable Nuka Cola Vending Machines based on the design of the Nuka Cola Vending Machine from Fallout 3 (the look I personally like most).

    Sophie’s Travel Perch

    I wanted a simple perch for our office pigeon Sophie The Pigeon, which would be easy to take along with us on trips or visits to friends and/or family for example.

    So I came up with this simple design which uses a (cheap) Hama® Tripod as it’s base, and I have also included a (removable) ‘system’ to make it a ‘lunch break perch’ when we’re on trips/outings with Sophie.

    XNL 3D Pro Mainboard Enclosure (Ender 3 mainboard housing [v1])

    Please note:
    This is officially a ‘legacy project‘, meaning it’s no longer supported or available.

    However since there are still quite a few Creality Ender 3 V1 (literally the first series) owners out there, I decided to (re-)upload this legacy housing to the new platform.

    This replacement enclosure can be used to replace the metal enclosure and perfectly fits the original 8-bit Ender 3 main board.

    This download (as of 2024) also contains a version which has no logo’s on the outside of the enclosure

    XNL Microscope Adapter (for Microphone Arm)

    I love my cheap Chinese AliExpress (Electronics) microscope, but it just drove me absolutely bonkers when I tried to use it with larger boards.

    So I decided to design as small (3D Printed) adapter which uses a 3/8″ thread, so that the cheap Microscope could be placed on a microphone arm, basically giving it the same flexibility as the (much) more expensive electronics lab microscopes but for a much lower price (for me totaling around €65,-)
